Description
About
Sahacharadi Thailam (Chikkanapakam) is a traditional Ayurvedic medicated oil formulated with Sahachara (Barleria prionitis) as the main ingredient, along with other herbs infused in sesame oil (Tila Taila). It is primarily used for neuromuscular, vascular, and locomotor disorders, particularly those associated with Vata imbalance.
The term “Chikkanapakam” refers to the thick preparation method, where the oil is cooked to a denser consistency — making it more potent for external application and long-lasting in therapeutic effect.
