Chithrakagranthikadi Kashayam is a classical Ayurvedic herbal decoction formulated mainly with Chitraka (Plumbago zeylanica) and other potent herbs. It is widely prescribed for glandular swellings, thyroid disorders, tumors, cysts, and Kapha-related metabolic disorders.

The formulation is best known for its action in reducing glandular enlargement, balancing thyroid function, detoxifying tissues, and supporting weight management. It also improves digestion and reduces sluggish metabolism.

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: 10–15 ml kashayam diluted with 40–60 ml warm water, twice daily before food

• Can be given along with Kanchanara Guggulu, Varunadi Kashayam, or Triphala for enhanced results

• Duration: As advised by an Ayurvedic physician (usually several weeks for thyroid or cyst conditions)

Precautions

• Should be taken only under medical supervision (especially for thyroid patients)

• Not recommended for pregnant and lactating women unless prescribed

• May not be suitable for people with high Pitta (due to Chitraka’s heating nature)

• Store in a cool, dry place

• Overdose may cause burning sensation or gastric irritation
