About
Lohasavam (also spelled Lohasava) is a classical Ayurvedic fermented medicine (Asava) prepared using Loha Bhasma (incinerated iron) along with herbs that undergo natural fermentation. It is one of the best Rasayana (rejuvenative) and hematinic formulations, primarily used to treat anemia, digestive weakness, liver disorders, and general debility.
Due to its self-generated alcohol base, Lohasavam enhances absorption of iron and other active principles, making it effective in chronic illnesses, malnutrition, and low energy states.
