Thikthakam Kashayam (also spelled Tikthakam Kashayam) is a classical Ayurvedic herbal decoction formulated mainly from bitter-tasting (Tikta Rasa) herbs. The term “Thikthakam” refers to the bitterness that signifies its strong detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, and cooling effects.
It is primarily used to purify blood, balance Pitta and Rakta doshas, and treat skin diseases, liver disorders, and inflammatory conditions. This Kashayam also supports digestive health and helps in eliminating Ama (toxins) from the system.
